Hummingbird Child Care Centre (2)

Hummingbird Child Care Centre (formally Hummingburde Child Care Society) is a community project and provides quality child care to enable young parents to complete their High School Education. The project was first sponsored by the Port Alberni Planning Committee and the Pacific Child Care Society and then developed by Hummingburde Child Care Society with support from School District #70. Financial assistance was provided by BC 21, Ministry of Social Services, Ministry of Women’s Equality, Vancouver Foundation, Port Alberni Big Brothers/Sisters, Alberni Kiwanis, Port Alberni Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club of Port Alberni and Alberni Mall Merchants Association.
