Strengthening the social and emotional abilities of our students is essential to the foundation of learning and the development of the whole child. Social-emotional learning can positively impact and affect academic performance, relationships with others, development of self-esteem and the ability to manage mental health. Students who develop strong SEL skills will be positioned to effectively manage themselves, their relationships, and their ability to contribute to their families, schools, and communities.
